Villa Skylight House

These two beautiful stone houses were first built in 1900 and last renovated in 2006. They offer a real escape into a small Adriatic village surrounded by an abundance of Mediterranean flora.

The Skylight House and Terrace House are nicely tucked away behind a small cluster of stone houses near the seaside town of Cavtat.  Guest staying here would be able to relax in peaceful surroundings whilst enjoying the distant sea views, yet be within 10 minutes drive of Cavtat or 25 minutes drive of Dubrovnik.

The property is ideal for a couple or two couples looking to relax in peaceful surroundings whilst at the same time be within easy access of areas of interest.

This enchanting property consists of two houses, a large sea view terrace and a courtyard.  The entrance is via three steps into a small terrace at the side of the house, entering a lovely stylish double bedroom. The ground floor also offers a unique bathroom featuring exposed stone walls and a roll top bath.  The stairs lead up to a spacious, modern open plan lounge, kitchen and dining area.  The French doors in this area boast beautiful sea views.

 

 The separate second bedroom annexe is located a few metres away from the main cottage across a stone path where guests enter into another stylish double bedroom featuring a kitchenette and ornamental balcony with sea views. Stairs down to the lower ground floor lead to  an unusual  shower room carved from the rock.

Outside there are plenty of seating and dining areas including a covered raised terrace offering guests wonderful views of the surrounding area whilst also providing the ideal spot for outdoor entertaining.

Attractions within the region include the historical towns of Dubrovnik and Cavtat, excursions to off shore islands such as Mljet and the Elaphite Islands . Also close by are beautiful cities of Budva in Montenegro (including Montenegrin coastline), and a historic city of Mostar with its famous Old Bridge.

NB:  a small car is recommended as you would need to drive through a narrow passage between stone houses to get to your accommodation.
